Class Schedule

Cake Decorating For Kids:  Tuesdays 4pm-6pm

Bring your group in to Queen of Cakes Design Studio for some decorating fun! These 2 hour events are geared toward kids age 6-12, and are “hands-on” decorating for your birthday party, scout troop, or just-for- fun. Your 2 hour event will include:

•  Each child will use buttercream icing and mold-able icing mediums to decorate their very own 4” cake to take home.
•  The chefs at Queen of Cakes will assist with instruction on how to hold the piping bag, and modeling with sugarpaste.
•  All tools, ingredients and cakes are provided, nothing else to buy!

COST/REQUIREMENTS

Price of session is based on number of kids attending:

• 1-4 kids: $90
• 5-9 kids: $150
• 10-12 kids: $200

1 parent representative must remain in the store during the event.
Events must be booked and paid for at least 1 week in advance, with number of kids attending confirmed no later than 48 hours before your scheduled start time.
CANCELLATIONS: in case of inclement weather, events will be rescheduled, with your party given preferential scheduling. Refunds for events can be issued for cancellations made NO LATER than 48 hours before your scheduled start time. If you need to cancel your event WITHIN THE 48 hr WINDOW, we will do our best to reschedule you, but no refunds will be made.

Fancy Cookie Decorating

Can’t get enough cookies and frosting?  We’ll teach you how to make the really fancy decorated cookies, great for gift giving on any occasion! This hands-on class will cover cookie work in shortbread, with piping, painting, and other decorating techniques.  You’ll leave with recipes and a set of 6 decorated cookies you’ve made yourself.

(2  hours) $35.00 Class size 3 minimum/6 maximum.  Age 12+

Cake Balls

Learn the basics of the fun new trend:  Cake Balls! Kind of like a truffle, kind of like cake, everyone loves them! In this hands-on class you’ll learn about working with chocolate coatings, creating a variety of cake base flavors, and ideas for finishing. You’ll take home instructions & 8 cake balls.

(2  hours) $35.00 Class size 3 minimum/6 maximum.  Age 12+

These 2 hour events are geared toward kids age 6-12, and are “hands-on” decorating.

Our popular Tuesday afternoon class is being offered during the daytime on these School Vacation Days:

• Each child will use buttercream icing and moldable icing mediums to decorate their very own 4” cake to take home.

• The chefs at Queen of Cakes will assist with instruction on how to hold the piping bag, and  modeling with sugarpaste.

• All tools, ingredients and cakes are provided, nothing else to buy!

Class Policies:

Payment and registration for all classes must be made at least 1 week in advance.

Classes must have the minimum class size in order for class to be held. In the event we do not book the minimum, you will be invited to roll into another class day/time, or you will be given a full refund. You will receive a confirmation email/phone call 48 hours before your class time.

Classes are held at Queen of Cakes Design Studio: 7104 Amundson Ave, Edina MN 55439.     952-942-7628.
